Compliance & insurance
Most detailers hope you won't ask. We built the company around the ask. Everything on this page is documented, carried on the truck, and available to your director of maintenance before we schedule the first visit.
Boeing D6-17487 exists because the wrong chemical crazes acrylic windows, softens paint, drives crevice corrosion, and embrittles high-strength steel. Every exterior product we use is documented against it or the matching SAE AMS standard, and every interior product against Boeing D6-7127. Independent lab conformance reports and SDS sheets are in the binder. "Aviation grade" marketing is not a specification, and we treat products that only offer marketing accordingly: they stay off the aircraft.
Here is the industry's open secret: a detailer's general liability policy excludes damage to the aircraft being worked on. The coverage that protects your airplane is hangarkeepers legal liability, including aircraft in the open, and most vendors don't carry it. We do, sized to the aircraft we serve, alongside aviation general liability with completed operations, workers' compensation, and airside auto coverage. Certificates issue with your organization, your FBO, and the airport named as additional insured, with waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory wording. Request a COI and it's in your inbox before the first visit.
Pitot probes, static ports, AOA vanes, and TAT probes are covered with flagged covers before any product is applied, logged in and counted out, with a second crew member independently verifying every port clear at close-out. This is the discipline the industry learned the hard way. We treat it as sacred.
FOD sweeps before and after, pouches on belts, rags and pads counted, no-step zones briefed from a per-type card on every job. Ladder and platform work follows OSHA fall-protection rules: rated platforms, padded contact points, no extension ladders against skin.
Dry washing is our default everywhere. Wet work happens only where ramp rules allow, with full containment and reclaim, and wastewater goes to sanitary sewer disposal. Nothing we do reaches a storm drain. On Southern California airfields, this is the standard the water board expects, and most vendors can't meet it.
Per FAA guidance on detailing operations (InFO 16005), tasks like port covering and post-wash inspection sit next to the maintenance world. Our SOPs coordinate prep and close-out with your mechanic, and anything maintenance-adjacent gets flagged to them, documented.
